CUTTING CLINICS
Cutting clinics can be offered in a variety of ways tailored to suit the interests and needs of the facility and its clientele either as participants or as auditors
COMPLETE CLINIC WORKING CATTLE
Tracy Barton would offer an instructional clinic with riders participating on real cattle. This format is an extensive two day clinic with cattle.
WORKING THE FLAG
Working a flag simply means working a horse on a mechanical device which simulates the cow’s movements; turns and change of direction. (See attached)
Tracy Barton would offer an instructional demonstration on a horse and participants would be allowed to ride against the flag.*
This clinic event can serve as a great “introduction” to the sport of cutting. For many facilities; especially facilities devoted to other disciplines; English / Hunter Jumper / Dressage / Polo; this is a “fun” event.
INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP LESSONS AND CONSULTATION
All sessions begin with an initial evaluation of a rider’s physical and mental skills and current goals.
You have to know where you are in order to figure out how to get to where you want to go.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM INSTRUCTIONAL WORK WITH CATTLE. AND HOW.
Any rider or owner at any level and in any discipline can benefit from this work. No matter what your show discipline or event working a cow is a huge amount of fun and a wonderful teaching device for riders looking to develop a broad range of skills working with their horse; skills relative to balance, touch, feel, and horse and rider overall athleticism coordination; skills which have an application to any event.

We will be developing online courses for cutting. For the time being we offer remote coach and training through screen sharing platforms such as ZOOM. A owner/rider/trainer or any manner of equine professional can contact us and work remotely.
